#Myplace. Medical volunteers rush to the aid of Lipetsk pensioners.
On March 24, in connection with the epidemiological situation of a new coronavirus infection, a specialized volunteer headquarters was opened in the Lipetsk branch of the All-Russian Popular Front (ONF). Volunteers of the Lipetsk Medical College successfully work in the volunteer centers of the ONF and the United Russia Party to provide assistance to citizens in connection with the coronovirus pandemic. It is they who rush to the aid of pensioners and disabled citizens who are currently in self-isolation.
Volunteers will bring food, buy the necessary medicines, and even take a walk with the dog. Having specified all the wishes of the applicant, the medical volunteers are sent to fulfill the order, strictly following the instructions. Caution is paramount, so even in the store, the volunteers are wearing protective gear - gloves and masks. Each request has an individual approach and targeted delivery.
Medical volunteers have done similar work before, but now, in the context of the pandemic, they are ready to strengthen it. And so it will be until the restrictive measures are lifted. Recall that the movement "Medical Volunteers" was founded in 2013 by activists of the project "Sklifa Volunteers", in 2016 it received the official status of an All-Russian public organization. Today, VOD "Medical Volunteers" is one of the largest voluntary organizations in the field of healthcare in Europe. With the support of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, 85 regional branches of the "Medical Volunteers" association have been opened in Russia, bringing together more than 50 thousand people. Every year, about 4 million Russians receive help and support from medical volunteers.
