All-Russian Sobriety Day was held in Lipetsk
In the Lipetsk region and a number of other regions of the Russian Federation in recent years, a memorable date is regularly celebrated, September 11-the Day of sobriety.
Leading narcologists will agree that it is very difficult to treat alcohol dependence syndrome, it is much easier to prevent this disease. In these conditions, measures of primary prevention and promotion of a healthy lifestyle come to the fore especially among the younger generation.
On September 9, 2020, the Lipetsk Metallurgical College held a preventive action dedicated to All-Russian Sobriety Day.
The campaign is held annually on the territory of the region and is primarily aimed at preventing excessive consumption alcohol consumption, especially among young people and adolescents. Traditionally, the chief narcologist of the department also takes part in it health of the Lipetsk region Mikhail Ivanovich Korostin.
Mass charging and flash mob "For sobriety!" - so bright and dynamic started the event for students of the Metallurgical Institute college. Next, specialists of medical organizations in the region, together with the public organization "Territory of Health", conducted a quest game for college students to promote healthy lifestyle "Sober and frisky".
At the site of the Regional Medical and Physical Education Dispensary, students were able to test their level of physical fitness and reaction speed: at first glance, a simple task turned out to be subject to few. On the islands Regional Drug Treatment Dispensary and Anti-drug Treatment Center/AIDS it was possible to learn useful information on prevention alcoholism and HIV infection. Experts explained to the children that they do not need to focus on a safe dose of alcohol, after all, this indicator is individual and depends on many factors, such as gender, age, and concomitant diseases. The participants of the quest learned about how to lead a healthy lifestyle and not make their habits harmful on the site of the Regional the Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention. Proper nutrition and regular physical activity-that's it the key to good health and active longevity.
As part of the campaign, students took part in a master class on cardiopulmonary resuscitation using a robot simulator. Representatives of the Lipetsk Medical College told the children that 88% of sudden cardiac arrests they happen outside the walls of medical organizations and the survival of these people directly depends on the help they will receive random witnesses of what is happening.
The final part of the quest was summing up the results and awarding the winners with memorable prizes. A special gift for all participants of the event was a concert prepared by specialists of the Regional Drug Treatment Dispensary and the Orthodox Society "Sobriety".
Traditionally, as part of the celebration of the Day of Sobriety, medical organizations of the Lipetsk region organize various measures aimed at preventing drunkenness and alcoholism. Various actions are timed to this day, quests and competitions of a sobriety orientation: "Health Schools" and "Sobriety Fasts" are organized, pilgrimage trips and prayers for those suffering from the disease of wine drinking and drug addiction are made, Religious processions "For sobriety!" are held, and much more.
A large role in covering the topic of alcoholism belongs to the specialists of the Regional Drug Treatment Dispensary: employees dispensaries regularly speak on this topic on the TV and radio channels of the region, actively post various publications in social networks. In addition, they, in cooperation with the digital infotainment channel of Moscow, Lipetsk and Lipetsk region "VOTtv" created an information cycle "Humor against "dope"", where you can study various information and preventive materials.
